Managing your Drive Plan

Looking to subscribe to one of our plans, or modify an existing plan? Descript makes it easy to adjust your Drive Plan or invite collaborators to your shared drive. Learn how to view and manage your Drive Plan below.

Viewing your Drive Plan

To view your current Descript Drive plan you may either:

Visit your Subscription Settings page on the web.
View it in the Descript desktop application by clicking your User Icon on the top right corner, selecting Edit Account, and clicking Subscription at the top of the page.

From here, you can manage your existing plan or start a new Pro or Creator subscription.

Subscribing to Descript Creator

A Creator plan provides access to:

Minimum of 10hrs of transcription per month
Unlimited projects
Unlimited screen recordings
Minimum of 10hrs of transcription per month
Timeline export
And more!

Click the "Your plan" dropdown selector and choose Creator to get started. By default, the Transcription limit is 10 hours and the Paid seat count is set to 1 but you can adjust these values depending upon your specific needs. Click Update when finished.

Once the update is completed, you'll see a confirmation on the bottom right of the Descript window showing the update was successful.

Subscribing to Descript Pro

A Pro plan provides access to:

Everything in Creator, plus...
Minimum of 30hrs of transcription per month
Unlimited vocabulary when generating Overdub
Filler Words Pro
Audiograms Pro
And more!

When managing your subscription, select Pro to get started. By default, the Transcription Limit is 30 hours and the Paid Seat count is set to 1. This can be increased to for you & your team's needs.

Once the update is completed, you'll see a confirmation on the bottom right of the Descript window showing the update was successful.

Additional Plan Options

When managing your subscription, you can also:

Change your Billing Cycle
Adjust your Paid Seats
Adjust Transcription Limit

Increasing your Paid Seats automatically increases your Transcription Limit based on the number of seats you are adding.

For example, a Pro plan with 1 Paid Seat will have a Transcription Limit of 30 hours per month by default. A Pro plan with 2 Paid Seats will have a Transcription Limit of 60 hours and 3 Paid seats will have a limit of 90, and so on.

The same concept applies to the Creator plan in 10 hour increments. Your Transcription Limit can also be increased on its own if you do not need additional Paid Seats at $2.00 per additional hour.

Adding a Promo Code

When signing up for your plan, you can enter your Promo Code by clicking Add Promo Code button. Enter the code you were provided then click Apply.
